Volleyball Game Preview: Suffolk Christian Academy Knights vs. Oaktree Academy Grizzlies

The Suffolk Christian Academy Knights will head out to take on the Oaktree Academy Grizzlies at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Oaktree Academy took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Suffolk Christian Academy, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Suffolk Christian Academy earned a 3-1 win over Bethel Christian.

The victory didn't come easy: Bethel Christian scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 21-25, 25-22, 25-18.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Suffolk Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Taylor Foster, who had 17 kills, 13 digs, and three aces. Foster has been hot, having posted seven or more kills the last six times she's played. Emma Gardner was another key player, getting seven aces and four digs.

They weren't the only good servers: Suffolk Christian Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 11 aces in four consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Oaktree Academy lost 3-0 to Norfolk Christian on Thursday. The Grizzlies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-20, 25-13.

Oaktree Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Suffolk Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-9 record this season.
