Browne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 49-11 defeat at the hands of the McClintock Chargers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bruins of the 32-14 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.

Browne lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Miguel Fierro, who picked up 200 receiving yards. Fierro's longest reception was for an incredible 79 yards. Kenyon Hale was another key passer, throwing for 278 yards and a touchdown.

Jaxon Knutson was nothing short of spectacular for McClintock: he threw for 200 yards and three touchdowns on only 18 passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Knutson is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last four games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Edward Walker, who rushed for 125 yards on only ten carries.

Browne's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for McClintock, the victory was the fourth in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Browne will head out to challenge Sunrise Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Browne focused on turnovers this week as team gave up four on Friday. As for McClintock, they are on the road again on Friday to play South Mountain at 7:00 p.m. McClintock knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 point or more in their past three games -- so hopefully South Mountain likes a good challenge.
