Softball Recap: Rockwood Drops Highest Score of Season Against York Institute

Rockwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 35-34 heartbreaker at the hands of the York Institute Dragons. On the bright side, the 34- run effort marked the Tigers' highest-scoring game to date.

Rockwood's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for York Institute, their win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-7.

Looking ahead, Rockwood will take on Cumberland County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Jets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.7 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for York Institute, they will square off against Watertown at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
