Basketball Recap: Northland Pines Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

While Northland Pines didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the Hillsboro Tigers by a score of 58-48 on Saturday. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 68-37 win the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

The victory snapped Northland Pines' losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-4 record. As for Hillsboro, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northland Pines will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Mosinee at 7:15 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Hillsboro, they will be playing at home against Westby at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
