Baseball Game Preview: Simeon Wolverines vs. Brooks Eagles

The Simeon Wolverines will venture away from home to take on the Brooks Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Simeon is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3 runs per game this season.

On Friday, Simeon made easy work of Brooks and carried off a 13-6 win. The victory continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

Dequan Luster was incredible, going 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three doubles. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Jaylen Ware was another key player, getting on base in two of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Simeon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Brooks only posted a batting average of .240.

Brooks' loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Simeon, their win bumped their record up to 12-6.

Brooks' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Simeon hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .317.
