Volleyball Game Preview: North Brunswick Scorpions vs. Hoggard Vikings

North Brunswick hasn't had much luck against Hoggard recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Scorpions will venture away from home to challenge the Vikings at 6:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

On Monday, North Brunswick made easy work of Pender and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Scorpions in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won four in a row.

North Brunswick walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-17, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Hoggard got the win against Laney on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0.

One reason for the win was Hoggard's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-12, 25-11.

Hoggard's victory bumped their record up to 19-3. As for North Brunswick, their win bumped their record up to 9-11.

North Brunswick suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Hoggard when the teams last played back in September. Can the Scorpions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
