Volleyball Recap: La Porte Takes a Loss

La Porte lost against Crown Point back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Slicers came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 3-0. The Slicers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-14, 25-19.

When it comes to explaining why La Porte lost, don't look at Shayla Sorg. Despite the final result, she had 23 digs and two assists. Lexi Surowiec also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Crown Point was led to victory by Bella Del Real and Hayden Klimowicz. Del Real had 28 digs and seven assists, while Klimowicz had 13 digs. Del Real has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more digs the last 11 times she's played.

La Porte's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Crown Point, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Coming up, La Porte will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Portage at 5:00 p.m. The Indians will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more sets each game than the last. As for Crown Point, they will challenge McCutcheon at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
