Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Westview). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Omaha Northwest Huskies 81-45. The victory continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Huskies: they've now won four in a row.

Lance Smith was a one-man wrecking crew as he made all 5 shots he took for 20 points. Tzyon Patterson also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Westview was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Omaha Northwest only posted five.

Despite the loss, Omaha Northwest still got an impressive performance from Dawayne Kearney, who posted 15 points and three steals. Kearney has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. Dorar Duar was another key player, putting up nine points.

Westview's record is now 3-1. As for Omaha Northwest, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Westview has already played their next contest, an 84-42 win against Benson on the 16th. As for Omaha Northwest, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-51 victory against Omaha South on the 16th.
