Basketball Recap: Abilene Christian Falls Short of Yavneh Academy in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Abilene Christian can now relate to. They fell to the Yavneh Academy Bulldogs 67-63.

Yavneh Academy's win on Thursday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Darren Sacher, who dropped a double-double with 24 points and ten rebounds. Sacher is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 47% in the last nine games he's played. Another player making a difference was Brendy Eber, who posted 11 points in addition to six assists and five boards.

Abilene Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 26-8. As for Yavneh Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season.

Abilene Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Yavneh Academy, they will challenge Lakehill Prep at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Lakehill Prep sitting on four straight wins and Yavneh Academy on three.
