Baseball Recap: Jupiter Takes a Loss

Jupiter extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 15-9. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the West Boca Raton Bulls. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 6-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2025.

Ethan Trivison spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jupiter saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cal Schneider, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

As for West Boca Raton, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-10. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games.

On West Boca Raton's side, they also let their pitcher toss all seven innings played and he was also dialed-in: Max McDougall gave up a run (which was unearned) on six hits and racked up nine Ks.

Jupiter and West Boca Raton should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. The Warriors will square off against Leonard at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (115 vs. 423). Meanwhile, West Boca Raton (ranked 165th) will meet Olympic Heights (ranked 359th) at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
