Ravenwood faced Independence in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. Ravenwood came out on top against Independence by a score of 6-3 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). This was a revenge game for the Raptors: when they faced off against the Eagles last Tuesday, they had to take a 6-3 loss.

Ravenwood's win bumped their record up to 11-3-1. As for Independence, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 9-5 record.

Ravenwood wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 6-4 victory against Lawson on the 28th. As for Independence, they have also already played their next match, a 6-4 win against Columbia Central on the 28th.
