Volleyball Recap: Saline Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Henry Altevogt and Noah Gregory

Saline's tournament run continued when they took on Holland Christian on Monday. The Hornets fell just short of the Maroons by a score of 2-1. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Saline might've come up short, but they didn't make it easy on Holland Christian: every set was decided by two points or less. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 29-27, 17-15.

Saline's loss came despite strong showings from Noah Gregory and Henry Altevogt. Gregory had seven digs and one assist, while Altevogt had six digs.

Saline's loss dropped their record down to 23-3. As for Holland Christian, the victory (which was their fifth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 3-0.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Saline is set to challenge their familiar foe Farmington at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Holland Christian will square off against rival Holland at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
