Game recap: Holbrook can't stop Show Low's winning streak

Show Low (Ariz.) extended its winning streak to six games with a 52-8 victory over Holbrook (Ariz.) on Saturday.The Cougars were up 42-0 at the half after taking the lead on a Dallin Crandell touchdown run in the first quarter.

Show Low expanded its lead to 45 points entering the fourth quarter. SL scored once in the quarter on a field goal by Donny Borrego.

A 26-point first quarter set the table for the Cougars, which coasted the rest of the way for the victory.

Show Low's standout player in the win was Crandell. The junior running back threw one touchdown and ran for one touchdown. He has now scored nine touchdowns on the season.

The Roadrunners' lone touchdown came on a defensive play in the fourth quarter.



SL came into the game allowing 8.6 points per game. Holbrook's eight points were well below its season average of 22.4 per game.

A 51-8 Show Low victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.

In a IV Section I game next week Show Low (6-0) takes on Winslow, and Holbrook (2-4) will go up against St. Johns in a non-conference game.
