Volleyball Recap: McLane Comes Up Short

McLane lost against Central back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The McLane Highlanders took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Central Grizzlies.

McLane actually scored more points across those four sets (85-84), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 9-25, 25-23, 25-16.

McLane now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Central, their win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McLane will welcome Merced at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Merced will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something McLane surely won't give up without a fight. As for Central, they will host Reedley at 6:30 p.m. on March 13th.
