Baseball Recap: Rains Comes Up Short

Rains and Gunter squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Rains had to settle for second. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 13-1 to the Tigers, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost five in a row.

Rains' defeat dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Gunter, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 27-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Tigers beat Rains by a score of 5-0 later that day.
