Baseball Recap: Cosby Takes a Loss

Cosby was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 17-1 to the Concord Christian Lions.

Cosby saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gage McCarty, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one stolen base. That triple marked the first that McCarty has hit this season.

Cosby's record is now 1-17-1. As for Concord Christian, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-19-4 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cosby will take on Austin-East at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles are facing the Roadrunners at the right time seeing as the Roadrunners are stuck on a 19-game losing streak. As for Concord Christian, they will face off against Maryville Christian at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
