Football Recap: Jackson Frey Key Part of Team Effort in Bombers Win

St. Xavier had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 21-point drubbing they dealt La Salle on Friday. The Bombers blew past the Lancers 28-7. The win continues a trend for the Bombers in their matchups with the Lancers: they've now won six in a row.

St. Xavier's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jackson Frey, who threw for 228 yards and three TDs while completing 82.4% of his passes. Those three passing touchdowns gave Frey a new career-high.

St. Xavier's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-2. As for La Salle, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.
