Volleyball Game Preview: Waupaca Comets vs. Luxemburg-Casco Spartans

Waupaca is 0-10 against Luxemburg-Casco since October of 2016 but things could change on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Waupaca comes in on eight and Luxemburg-Casco on three.

On Tuesday, Waupaca got the win against Little Chute by a conclusive 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-20, 25-11.

Meanwhile, Luxemburg-Casco earned a 3-1 win over Oconto Falls on Tuesday.

Luxemburg-Casco got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 30-28, 25-19, 18-25, 25-14.

Waupaca's record now sits at 22-10. As for Luxemburg-Casco, their record is now 28-9.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's contest: Waupaca has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 8.7 aces per game. However, it's not like Luxemburg-Casco struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.8 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.

Waupaca came up short against Luxemburg-Casco in their previous meeting back in August, falling 2-0. Can the Comets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
