Sequoia Charter was the 6-5 winner over Gila Bend when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Stallions fell just short of the Gila Monsters by a score of 11-10 on Tuesday. On the bright side, the ten- run effort marked the Stallions' highest-scoring match to date.

Reyna Chavez was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Sequoia Charter is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4. As for Gila Bend, they pushed their record up to 4-3 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Sequoia Charter and Gila Bend will both be playing Berean Academy the next time they take the field. The Gila Monsters will head out to face the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Stallions will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
