Volleyball Recap: Highland Prep Comes Up Short

After flying high against San Tan Charter last Wednesday, Highland Prep came back down to earth. The Honey Badgers fell 3-1 to the St. John Paul II Catholic Lions on Thursday. While the Honey Badgers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Lions 25-20 in the first set.

Highland Prep started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 27-25, 25-21, 25-15.

Highland Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for St. John Paul II Catholic, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Highland Prep will face off against Odyssey Institute at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. John Paul II Catholic, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Northwest Christian on the 6th.
