Mediapolis came tearing into Friday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Van Buren County Warriors as they made off with a 10-4 victory. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by six runs or more this season.

Mediapolis pushed their record up to 12-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Van Buren County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

Mediapolis will look to defend their home field on Monday against Winfield-Mt. Union at 5:30 p.m. As for Van Buren County, they are taking a road trip to square off against West Burlington at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
