Softball Recap: Space Coast's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

After soaring to 14 runs the game before, Space Coast was a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They fell just short of the Satellite Scorpions by a score of 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Vipers have suffered against the Scorpions since April 3, 2017.

Ana Muniz was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

With the defeat, Space Coast broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-7. As for Satellite, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-8.

Coming up, Space Coast will be playing at home against Rockledge at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Vipers are facing the Raiders at the right time seeing as the Raiders are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Satellite, they will venture away from home to face off against Cocoa Beach at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Minutemen have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.67 runs per game on average), something the Scorpions will no doubt try to take advantage of.
