Basketball Game Preview: North Johnston Panthers vs. Beddingfield Bruins

North Johnston is 2-8 against Beddingfield since February of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The North Johnston Panthers will head out to challenge the Beddingfield Bruins at 5:45 p.m. North Johnston is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

North Johnston is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Princeton, posting a 63-29 win. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 20 points or more this season.

North Johnston found their leader in sophomore Amiyah Grimes, who went 7 for 10 en route to 17 points in addition to seven assists and six rebounds. Camden Ford was another key player, putting up seven points and 13 boards.

North Johnston smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in three consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Beddingfield strolled past Princeton with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 56-41.

North Johnston's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-0. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.5 points per game. As for Beddingfield, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-13.

Everything went North Johnston's way against Beddingfield when the teams last played back in January, as North Johnston made off with a 44-20 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for North Johnston since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
