Eagle River hasn't had much luck against Service recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. Wolves will look to defend their home pitch against the Cougars at 7:30 p.m. Eagle River is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.7 goals per game this season.

Eagle River is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alaska's top teams: Bartlett, who was ranked 22nd at the time (Eagle River was ranked 14th). Wolves put the hurt on the Golden Bears with a sharp 9-1 victory on Saturday. With Eagle River ahead 4-0 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Their offense was hitting Bartlett from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Easton Johnson led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Service was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor Dimond could gain the upper hand on Saturday so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

The win made it two in a row for Eagle River and bumps their season record up to 4-6-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those two contests. Service's draw gives them a new season record of 7-4-1.
