Basketball Recap: Saturday's Victory Is Unioto's Fifth in Last Six Outings

Unioto won the last time they faced Adena, and Milee Smith did her part to make sure it happened again. The Unioto Shermans snuck past the Adena Warriors with a 62-56 victory on Saturday thanks in part to Smith, who almost dropped a double-double on 24 points and nine rebounds. Her evening made it 16 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Charlotte Dennis was another key player, putting up seven points and six boards. Those seven points gave her a new career-high.

Unioto is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Adena, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-6.

Unioto will challenge Paint Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Unioto is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 67.7 points per game this season. As for Adena, they will face off against Amanda-Clearcreek at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
