Basketball Recap: Palm Desert Continues Road Dominance on Wednesday

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Palm Desert ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Rancho Mirage Rattlers by a score of 70-63. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Aztecs.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Palm Desert to victory, but perhaps none more so than Paul Dreisbach, who went 9 for 18 on his way to 31 points in addition to eight rebounds and five steals. Dreisbach is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Brande, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 14 boards.

Palm Desert pushed their record up to 11-6 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.7 points per game. As for Rancho Mirage, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palm Desert will face off against Calipatria at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rancho Mirage, they will square off against Xavier Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Rancho Mirage's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
