There's no place like home for Kempsville, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They really took it to the Princess Anne Cavaliers for the full four quarters, racking up a 56-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Chiefs in their matchups with the Cavaliers: they've now won four in a row.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Rob Hughes Jr and Tayshaun Johnson. Hughes Jr rushed for 209 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 9.1 yards per carry while Johnson rushed for 95 yards and three touchdowns. Johnson didn't just play on offense: he also made two total tackles and defended one pass. Nari Turner was in the mix too, providing Kempsville with two scores.

One reason for the win was Kempsville's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Princess Anne's QB won't forget Jason Galloway anytime soon given he sacked him twice. Turner got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The victory got Kempsville back to even at 1-1. As for Princess Anne, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
