Football Game Preview: Philip Simmons Iron Horses vs. Central Eagles

The Philip Simmons Iron Horses will face off against the Central Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Philip Simmons sitting on ten straight wins and Central on four.

Philip Simmons got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Hayes Goddard out in front who rushed for 70 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 160 yards and one TD. Central's win came from a few key players Philip Simmons will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Ashten Wilson, who rushed for 135 yards and one score on only 13 carries. Another back making a difference was Aiden Short, who rushed for 58 yards and one touchdown.

Central's run defense was locked in: East Clarendon could only muster 3.3 yards per carry. While two picked up at least four total tackles, Short stood above the rest. He rushed for 58 yards and one TD, and also threw for 44 yards and one touchdown. Central didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 10.7.
