Vicksburg had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They managed a 14-8 win over the Natchez Bulldogs. For the Gators, this counts as revenge for the 14-6 victory the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Jadarius Henderson had a dynamite game, rushing for 140 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 7.4 yards per carry.

Another reason for the win was Vicksburg's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Natchez's QB won't forget Jaylen Smith anytime soon given he sacked him twice. Wallyss Curry was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making 15 total tackles (3.0 for loss) in addition to snagging an interception.

Coming up, Vicksburg will host Forest Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Natchez, they will head out to challenge South Pike at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
