Greenville extends home losing streak to five

Recap: Greenville Tigers vs. Hillcrest Jaguars

The Greenville Tigers lost against the Hillcrest Jaguars back in November, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Greenville was dealt a 75-26 defeat at the hands of Hillcrest. Greenville was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-15.

Hillcrest was led to victory by Al'Quan Richardson and Robert Simpson. Richardson dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds, while Simpson dropped a double-double on 16 points and 18 rebounds. The match was Simpson's 14th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jordan Bonner, who scored 12 points.

Greenville's loss was their fifth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-12. As for Hillcrest, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greenville will face off against Carroll at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Carroll presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Greenville in Alabama (Carroll is ranked 51st, while Greenville is ranked 325th). As for Hillcrest, they will head out on the road to face off against W.S. Neal at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with W.S. Neal sitting on three straight wins and Hillcrest on four.
