Softball Recap: Osawatomie Comes Up Short

Osawatomie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 8-3 to the Wellsville Eagles, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-3 on Tuesday.

Osawatomie saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gracie Fanning, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Jules Beery also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Osawatomie's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Wellsville, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Osawatomie wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 14-0 victory against Anderson County on the 8th. As for Wellsville, they have also already played their next game, a 5-4 win against Osage City on the 3rd.
