Del Valle is a perfect 5-0 against Tornillo since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Conquistadores will be taking part in a tournament against the Coyotes at 12:00 p.m. Tornillo took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Del Valle, who comes in off a win.

Del Valle took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They blew past Fabens 10-2. The high-scoring effort was just what the Conquistadores needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

BRYAN GARCIA made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits (and not a single walk). GARCIA was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Del Valle let ANTHONY CHAVEZ and JAYDEN MARTINEZ run wild. CHAVEZ got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double, while MARTINEZ went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those two runs gave CHAVEZ a new career-high. Another player making a difference was DIEGO VILLALOBOS, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Tornillo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Hanks, falling 13-0.

The victory got Del Valle back to even at 1-1. As for Tornillo, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Del Valle beat Tornillo 5-1 when the teams last played back in February of 2025. Do the Conquistadores have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Coyotes turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
