Basketball Recap: Alea Glover's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Twiggs County over Georgia Military College

Twiggs County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 29-26 heartbreaker at the hands of the Georgia Military College Bulldogs. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Cobras have suffered since February 17, 2024.

Twiggs County lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Alea Glover, who posted two points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Glover a new career-high in steals (two).

Georgia Military College found their leader in sophomore Allie Deason, who had nine points.

Twiggs County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Georgia Military College, with the win, they broke their 28-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-16.

Twiggs County will take on Johnson County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Georgia Military College, they will challenge Glascock County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Georgia Military College has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
