Billerica Memorial needed a changed in momentum after dropping four straight matches and they got it from Makayla Sibert. The Indians were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Haverhill Hillies on Wednesday for which the team can thank Sibert, who had 13 digs and five aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-20, 25-21.

Haverhill's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Callan Goncalves, who had 14 digs and one assist, and Olivia Lesswing, who had 15 assists and seven digs.

Billerica Memorial's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 2-7. As for Haverhill, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Billerica Memorial didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Lawrence on the 26th. As for Haverhill, they have also already played their next match, a 3-2 win against North Andover on the 26th.
