While South Iredell's win against A.L. Brown wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Vikings sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over the Wonders on Monday. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Wonders recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
South Iredell saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tristan Kinsey, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. That's the most hits Kinsey has posted since April 2nd. Another was Brody Hunt, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
South Iredell pushed their record up to 18-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for A.L. Brown, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 14 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-18 record this season.
South Iredell wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 6-2 loss against Mooresville on the 29th. A.L. Brown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
