Basketball Game Preview: Keenan Raiders vs. Lake City Panthers

The Keenan Raiders will take on the Lake City Panthers in a tournament on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Keenan is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Fairfield Central 73-48 on Friday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Raiders with their most commanding win of the season.

Keenan found their leader in freshman Taelor Lee-Sutton, who went 11 for 22 on her way to 25 points and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lee-Sutton has scored all season. Samiyah Hicks was another key player, putting up eight points along with seven steals and six boards.

Keenan smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in three consecutive matchups.

While Lake City didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They enjoyed a cozy 59-41 victory over Mullins on Thursday.

Lake City has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.6 points per game. As for Keenan, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-3.
