Soccer Game Preview: West Port vs. DeLand

The West Port Wolf Pack will square off against the DeLand Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

While West Port's win against Eastside wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wolf Pack never let the Rams get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Friday. Ally Jones had the honor of scoring the game-winner for West Port.

Meanwhile, DeLand fell victim to Seminole and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They lost 8-0 to the Seminoles. DeLand have struggled against Seminole recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

West Port is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those four contests. As for DeLand, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10-4.
