Lyons came into Tuesday's contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They skirted past the Downers Grove North Trojans 2-1. This was payback for the Lions, who suffered a 2-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Lyons who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 21-25, 26-24.

Lyons' victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Downers Grove North, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record this season.

Lyons will face off against Hinsdale South at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Downers Grove North, they will take on Naperville North at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
