Football Recap: South Cobb Comes Up Short at Home Against South Forsyth + How To Watch

South Cobb unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the South Forsyth War Eagles on Friday, falling 36-14. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 11 in a row.

Leading South Forsyth to victory were Will Watkins and Brayden Hammond. Watkins rushed for 58 yards and one score on only five carries, while Hammond rushed for 114 yards and one TD. Those 58 rushing yards gave Watkins a new career-high.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Cobb is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Banneker at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for South Forsyth, they will face off against Campbell at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
