It was fun while it lasted, but Valley View's undefeated season came to an end after seven games on Saturday. They fell just short of the Yucaipa Thunderbirds by a score of 2-1. The match marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Bella Hernandez was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Alyssa Torres made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run.

Having lost for the first time this season, Valley View fell to 7-1. As for Yucaipa, their record is now 7-4.

Looking ahead, Valley View will be taking part in a tournament against Schurr at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Valley View is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.2 runs per game this season. As for Yucaipa, they will welcome Poly at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
