Volleyball Recap: Lyons Comes Up Short + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lyons can now relate to. They fell just short of the Oak Park-River Forest Huskies by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The Lions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Huskies earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Lyons started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 13-25, 25-14, 25-20.

Taylor Carroll paced Lyons' offense, picking up 21 kills. Carroll got some help from Colleen Chambers and her 29 assists. Kate Potter controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

With the loss, Lyons broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 24-13. As for Oak Park-River Forest, they pushed their record up to 25-7 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Lyons does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oak Park-River Forest, they have already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Downers Grove North on the 6th.
