Basketball Game Preview: Grove City Christian Eagles vs. Fisher Catholic Irish

Grove City Christian is 0-10 against Fisher Catholic since February of 2020 but things could change on Friday. The Grove City Christian Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Fisher Catholic Irish at 7:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, Grove City Christian came up short against Wellington School and fell 44-35.

Meanwhile, Fisher Catholic had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 42 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They blew past the Knights 62-24. The Irish have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 22 points or more this season.

Fisher Catholic found their leader in freshman Hadli Gillum, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Sydney Snoke, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds.

Grove City Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Fisher Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-2 record this season.

Grove City Christian came up short against Fisher Catholic in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 48-35. Can Grove City Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
