Baseball Recap: Owen Takes a Loss

Madison hit Owen with a eight-run fifth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Warhorses lost 13-3 to the Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-4 on Tuesday.

Braeden Burrell was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Those hits were his first of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Owen and nudges their season record down to 4-17. As for Madison, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-12.

As of now, neither Owen nor the Patriots have any future games scheduled.
