Concord is 10-0 against Springport since February of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Concord Yellowjackets will head out on the road to take on the Springport Spartans at 7:00 p.m.

Last Thursday, Concord came up short against Stockbridge and fell 38-31. While losing is never fun, the Yellowjackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 345th, while the Panthers are ranked 169th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Springport, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in December of 2024. They took down Bronson 60-45 on Thursday.

Concord better focus on containing Jake Kregel and Brody Baum as the pair were huge in Springport's win. Kregel went 7 for 10 on his way to 21 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals, while Baum dropped a double-double on 16 points and 16 boards. Kregel's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Marshall Shoemaker, who posted seven points.

Springport smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in eight consecutive matches.

Springport pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Concord, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.

Concord came out on top in a nail-biter against Springport in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, sneaking past 50-48. Will Concord repeat their success, or does Springport have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
