Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Germantown's offense. They fell just short of Starkville by a score of 1-0 back in December of 2024. The loss continues a trend for the Mavericks in their matchups with the Yellowjackets: they've now lost three in a row.

Madison Central pushed their record up to 8-2-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those four games. As for Germantown, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6-1.
