Volleyball Recap: Springtown Picks Up Eighth Straight Win on the Road

Springtown won the last time they faced Azle and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Porcupines were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Hornets. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Porcupines have posted against the Hornets since August 23, 2016.

Springtown walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-13, 25-19.

Springtown was led to victory by Brooklynn Quintanilla and Bailey Walker. Quintanilla had nine digs and four aces, while Walker had 13 assists and five digs. That's the most aces Quintanilla has posted since back in October of 2024. Brylee Pitts also deserves some recognition as she had her first kills of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Springtown was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Springtown's win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-1. As for Azle, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-3.

Looking ahead, Springtown will square off against Melissa at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for Azle, they will challenge Midlothian Heritage at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
