Basketball Recap: Amity Drops Highest Score of Season Against Scio

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Amity). They strolled past the Scio Loggers with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 77-60. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Warriors with their most commanding win of the season.

Amity's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points per game. As for Scio, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-3.

The future could be bright for both Amity and Scio: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Amity will try to hand Catlin Gabel their fourth-straight loss when the two meet at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Scio will look to extend Gaston's three-game losing streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on December 30th.
