Baseball Recap: Jefferson Wins Going Away Against Freedom

After only two runs in their last matchup, Jefferson made sure to put some runs up on the board against Freedom on Thursday. The Jefferson Dragons were the clear victor by a 19-6 margin over the Freedom Patriots. The result was nothing new for the Dragons, who have now won five contests by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Ja'Marques Benton, who scored three runs while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Isiah Fernandez, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.
