Softball Recap: Daleville Broncos vs. Randolph Southern Rebels
Daleville took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Randolph Southern Rebels with a sharp 25-0 win. The Broncos haven't had any issues with the Rebels recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.
Emily Simmons made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). Simmons was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and one RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high.
