Softball Recap: Master's Academy Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

Master's Academy got themselves on the board against Synergy Magnet K12 on Wednesday, but Synergy Magnet K12 never followed suit. They were the clear victor by a 15-0 margin over the Synergy Magnet K12 Saints. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won six contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Phoenix Henderson and Scarlett Grall made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Henderson pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Grall struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in February of 2024. At bat, Henderson scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-3, while Grall scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most stolen bases Henderson has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Alison Viersma was a standout: she scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-2. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Gia Gasbarro, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Master's Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .409. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Master's Academy pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Synergy Magnet K12, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Master's Academy will welcome Calvary Chapel Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Calvary Chapel Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.2 runs per game this season. As for Synergy Magnet K12, they will take on Master's Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
